The Perak Fire and Rescue Department sprang into action, dispatching a team from the Taiping Fire and Rescue Station to the scene, located a challenging four kilometers away. Upon arrival, they discovered seven victims at the hill's summit, with one male hiker having descended to seek help.
The rescue operation, led by the LAST concept, involved firefighters, police, and Bukit Larut management personnel. They located all the victims midway down from the reported site, thanks to the assistance of a civilian guide.
The woman with the sprained ankle received initial treatment at the scene, and all victims were eventually brought down to safety.
