This outpouring of support wasn't limited to Maple Valley Baptist. Churches across the region, including one attended by Governor Bill Lee, held vigils and services, offering solace and a space to process the unimaginable. "The losses are staggering," Lee remarked after witnessing the devastation firsthand from a helicopter and attending Compassion Church in Waverly.

Sources close to the investigation revealed to CBS News on Saturday that the situation is more precarious than initially thought, hindering the assessment process.
"We're taking every precaution to prevent further harm," assured the Humphreys County sheriff's office in a statement. "While the immediate area is secure, residents may hear noises and see smoke."
The initial blast, felt over 20 miles away, left behind a scene of utter devastation: twisted metal, burned-out vehicles, and a haunting silence where a bustling plant once stood. Sadly, authorities confirmed there were no survivors. As of Sunday, the identities of the deceased had not yet been released.

Nestled in a heavily wooded area of middle Tennessee, between the Tennessee River and Nashville, Accurate Energetic Systems plays a crucial role in developing and storing explosives for military, aerospace, and commercial demolition purposes, as stated on their website. The company also conducts tests on its 1,300-acre campus.
For Brandon Brake, 42, a member of Maple Valley Baptist, the church community has become a lifeline. "It's been a time of immense sorrow," he shared, "but we're determined to get through this together."
Starting Monday, schools in the area will have counselors and therapists on hand to support students and staff, as reported by WTVF. The community of McEwen demonstrated its solidarity by lowering flags to half-staff on Saturday, and a candlelight vigil was planned for Sunday evening outside the Humphreys County Courthouse. Counseling services will be available to students in the county beginning Monday.
"We stand with our friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens during this difficult time," expressed McEwen Mayor Brad Rachford in a Sunday email. "We'll provide support in any way we can."
Pastor Andrews urged his congregation to look out for one another. "Let us lift up those still suffering from this tragedy in our prayers," he said.
