With the end of the third and final season of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" near, fans of the show might be wondering what, if anything, comes next.
The Amazon Prime Original Series will (likely) conclude with a highly anticipated and romantic reunion in Paris, France, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, following an 11-episode run that began on Wednesday, July 16.
Much like thebeloved book trilogy, the TV adaptationof "The Summer I Turned Pretty" hinges on alove trianglebetweenBelly and the Fisher brothers,Conrad and Jeremiah, as they experience "first love, first heartbreak and the magic of that one perfect summer."
The good news for fans is that Jenny Han, author of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" and executive producer of the show, has not ruled out returning to Cousins, "if the story is there."
"Amazon Prime has been very supportive of my vision, and I haven't felt a pressure to keep it going just to keep it going," Han shared with Entertainment Weekly in a June 10 interview. "It's all about doing what's best for the story. And you obviously want to give the fans a really satisfying ending."

'Never say never:' Jenny Han on more seasons
Han is game for another season when (mostly if) inspiration, at least related to "The Summer I Turned Pretty," strikes again.
"Never say never — I never do. If the story is there, then I'm there," Han told Entertainment Weekly.
Fans could see a continuation of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" in the form of a sequel series or a revival that picks up with Belly and the other characters later down the line, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"As a storyteller, you just get hit with inspiration all the time," Han told the magazine. "If I had a really great idea that I was excited by, that I wanted to keep telling the story, and if (the stars) were excited to do it, then I would be so pumped. It really depends on if I feel like there is more story to tell."
While the ability to keep the story going is certainly exciting, the real draw, at least for Han, would be getting to work with everyone again, including Lola Tung, who plays the main character, Isabel "Belly" Conklin.
"I love working with all these guys, that's at the core of it," Han said. "I would always welcome working with them on this, or something else. Who knows what the future holds?"
Tung, who plays Belly, feels similarly, telling Entertainment Weekly, "I'm there" if Han were ever to ask her to be in any part of her cinematic universe.
